I started to get the higher priced clippers, but I'm glad I went with these. I have 2 collies that I shave once a year and didn't want to spend a bunch of money. I also bought the #7 Skip Tooth blade to cut through the under coat per the Andis customer service reps. suggestion. It's still a tough job, but beats spending 60 or 70 bucks at the groomer per dog not to mention the pain of transporting 2 large dogs there and back.
the clippers work fabluously on my long-haired cat; we can now peacefully co-exist in this heat. i took him once to the groomer's to see how they do it and from there i've been able shave him. the clippers are relatively lightweight. if you are shaving multiple cats, you will have to let the clippers cool in between. great investment and you will make back your money with one shaving and the cat is sooo happy without the fur.

I am a Personal Chef who specializes in working with clients with special diets. I do have a few clients who are fighting cancer and this book has been a tremendous help to me as well as to my clients. The recipes are very easy to follow and full of flavor. She has great tips in her recipes as well as giving nice combinations for meals. I found the beginning chapters very helpful since I am working with cancer patients. She discusses how the palate changes before, during, and after treatments. She gives recommendations for specific recipes to prepare if someone is experiencing certain stomach issues, etc.
Understanding where your client is at in terms of taste, is what my business is all about.
I have prepared numerous recipes already and continue to work through the recipes.
Only one small item I would change is the index. Recipes are not listed under subject; you seem to have to know the exact name of the recipe to look it up. That is my only criticism. I still give 5 stars!
I highly recommend this to anyone who is cooking for someone with cancer, or a cancer patient.
My dad has been fighting cancer the past six months and chemotherapy has made it a struggle for him to eat due to the fact that nothing tastes good to him. This book has been amazing! He actually looks forward to and asks for things made from this book. Especially helpful are the guidelines given that tell you what to add to a recipe if things are tasting bitter, salty, like cardboard, etc. What I also love is that the food doesn't just taste good but they have meshed it with the science of what someone needs nutritionally to fight cancer. Well done!!!

Hey wow, it's a box to put your cat or small dog in when you take them to the vet. Easy to assemble and looks sturdy enough so it won't fall apart. This is the cheapest one I could find that didn't look like total crap. Pretty much any cat will fit into this crate with room to spare. My 2 6-month old kittens are mellow and pile into this thing together voluntarily when I open the door. The important thing is not to force them or yell at them, because then they associate the crate with 'bad news'. Take your time, put a treat inside, and wait for the cat to go inside on his own. Put some toys and soft bedding inside for long trips.
Looks OK to go on an airplane so long as you don't get a psycho baggage handler. Whether or not this brand/model is actually allowed on an airplane is unknown to me. I don't ever plan to take it on an airplane so I don't care.
